Following the success of the first nine boreholes commissioned earlier this year, SSEED Ghana has begun Phase Two of the Tamale Borehole Network, extending clean water access to five additional villages in the Northern Region.

The first phase cut water collection time by more than 70% for the communities it reached. That is time residents, mostly women and children, have redirected toward schooling, farming, and small business.

Phase Two is expected to be complete by mid-2026 and will bring the total number of boreholes in the network to nineteen, reaching an estimated 6,000 additional residents.
